We meet the first Tuesday and the third Monday of the month for anyone interested in photography.
The Gympie Camera Club holds regular meetings and practical evenings for anyone interested in photography. Whether you're just starting out in photography as a hobby, or a well-equipped professional, we provide a range of activities for all enthusiasts.
The Gympie Camera Club gathers twice a month in the workshop space at the rear of the Gympie Regional Gallery, 39 Nash Street, the first Tuesday of every month at 7:15pm.
Each third Monday of the month at 7:15pm, the club holds a practical night where members can have photos critiqued, learn Photoshop techniques, how to make your own matt board mounts for your photos, or whatever someone suggests or needs help with.
Both club meeting and practical night meetings run for approximately 2 hours, and afterwards enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and some nibblies and lively conversation with other like-minded people.
A camera club outing is usually planned each month, usually on the second Sunday of the month, but this date is not set in concrete and can be changed to suit. Club members are encouraged to share their photos taken on that day at the practical night for either critique or simply to share. This is usually done on digital media and viewed via the projector.
